Are you tired of getting stuck in traffic one day after another?
Well, join the club, as more and more people are deciding to ditch their corporate careers in order to escape from that everyday monotony.
How can they afford it? Ever heard of work from home jobs? Home based jobs you can start doing today?
That’s right, you can stay in your beloved pajamas all day long and still bring in some desperately needed cash.
Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t some promised land, where you can just put your feet up on the couch, and let the money flow in.
Instead, you still have to put the time in, but part-time work from home jobs are in such high demand, as they provide ultimate flexibility.
Care to find out what are the best options out there? Check out the ones mentioned below.
LEGITIMATE PART TIME WORK FROM HOME JOBS
You don’t need to possess a certain skill to make money from home!
While we admitted that you’ll have to put the time in, it’s not necessarily true that you also need to possess a certain skill in order to thrive in this market.
Most people just believe that work from home jobs only relates to graphic designers and writers, but that’s not true in the slightest.
You only have to find your niche, and the money will sort itself out. There’s only one thing, you have to learn how to become a driven person, as those self-motivation videos wear out rather quickly.
1. Do a couple of online surveys
Yes, I’m sure that you pretty much hate doing those annoying surveys, as we all do, but there’s a slight catch to this plan – you will get money fast for doing so and truth to be told, it is the easiest work from home job.
The journey begins as soon as you register on one of the well-known websites that have a proven track record. After that, all you need to do is fill in those forms, and well, that’s about it.
If it sounds too good to be true, just try it out. It’s 2020 and you need to start thinking online. You won’t get rich overnight by doing so, but it’s a great way to occupy your time while the commercials are on.
Join Survey Junkie, Swagbucks, Branded Surveys, and KashKick, to start making money today.
Yeah, you aren’t going to get rich doing them, but it’s something you can easily do, from your phone, in your downtime.
You can do them in your spare time, while you are waiting in line, while you’re having your morning coffee, or during a commercial break on TV.
At the end of the day – money is money and you can use that money for Christmas gifts or small home repairs.
I do Survey Junkie and get like $60-$100/year. If you were very dedicated to it and put hours in daily you could probably make more than that but I prefer to do it on a more casual basis.
2. Real Estate Crowdfunding
Getting started with real estate investing might sound intimidating. However, it’s actually easier than you might think to get your foot in the door and to start investing.
With a platform like Fundrise you can start real estate investing with relatively small amounts of money for a proportional equity stake in the property and earn interest income or rental profits.
Fundrise also lets you can start with only $10 (even $1,000 is not a lot of money, certainly not within the context of real estate investing) and diversify your income streams.
Real estate crowdfunding is a passive income stream. Plus, properties are managed by professionals so you don’t have to worry about a 2 or 3 am call to fix a leaky roof.
3. Deliver food and groceries
A woman I know delivers for DoorDash and makes quite a bit.
I’m not sure of your availability but she delivers while her kids are in school and make $300+ a week and $45-$50 an hour on Saturday nights.
If you’re interested, here is a guide on how to make $500 a week with DoorDash.
She also does Instacart. Btw, check out these other apps like Instacart.
She does it when the kids are at school and on the weekends when her husband is home to watch the kids.
She only picks and shops the orders that are worth the money though. She’s not driving across town to make $9.

4. Explore the Airbnb universe
Do you have a room you don’t use very often? If that’s the case, you might be a prime candidate for this side hustle.
Airbnb is the most popular peer-to-peer rental website in the world, as millions of clients use their services daily.
Your apartment doesn’t even need to be located in a popular tourist destination in order to benefit from its vast network.
It is of utmost importance to get a few positive reviews going at first, as getting the ball rolling is the hardest thing in this line of business.
5. Play online games
Yes, you can get paid to play video games.
There are a lot of sites, which will be willing to pay you just to play their game every day.
Furthermore, if you have a fun personality, and a lot of skill playing a particular video game, you can always set up a Twitch account, gain followers, and earn money working from home, while having the time of your life.
Just be warned, you’ll need a lot of skill to stand out from the competition.
Another option is to get paid to play, and test new mobile video games. All you have to do is download a free Mistplay app and download, play new video games through the app.
6. Watch videos and movie trailers
You can get paid to watch videos!
That’s right, companies such as InboxDollars and Swagbucks are more than willing to reward your efforts. All you’ll need to do is watch a couple of videos, like and share the content as well, and count your dollars.
You’ll get clear instructions on which videos to watch and for how long ahead of time. It’s so simple, a child could do it. Great way to make money in college.
6. Pet sitting
Do you like pets? Then this is a great part-time work from home job for you.
The only requirement is to love animals. Just kidding, there are actually a few things you’ll also need to sort out first, but where there’s a will there’s a way.
Cuddle up with cute dogs over the weekend and get paid handsomely for doing so – where do I sign up?
Try your luck at Rover. This phone app lets you connect with dog owners in need, and it encompasses everything from taking the animals out on a walk to pet sitting at the owners’ place of residence, while they are out of town.
7. Job spotter
Yep, you’ve read it right, this thing also exists. The job consists of going around town and taking pictures of help wanted signs.
Depending on the nature of the job, the pay also varies, starting from just a few cents and going all the way up to $1.5 per picture.
The money comes in the form of Amazon gift cards, and it seems like a great side hustle, in case you are already into hiking.
8. Earn cash back by taking pictures of your receipts
It might sound weird, but trust me, it works.
Simply download the app on your phone, place the receipt flat on the table, and make sure to scan it all the way through.
Once the scan is complete, and it will only take you a couple of seconds in order to do so, you’ll instantly receive some money back.
Now, we are not talking about some insane cash here, but if you do it for long enough, you’ll collect some spare change sooner rather than later. In my experience, Coinout is a great place to start.
Let’s also not forget to mention Ibotta, as it provides a good alternative to the app already mentioned above.
9. Data entry
One of the simplest work from jobs there is.
College kids have been running this game for years now, as you won’t need any training or a particular skill set to get the job done.
All you’ll need is a computer, internet connection, and a ton of patience to perform this somewhat tedious job one day after another.
However, don’t despair, as some people find this sort of work therapeutic. Not to mention the fact that it’s possible to earn up to $1,000 a month by doing so. Do I have your attention now?
10. Google rewards
Once again, we are talking about online surveys, but this time, the Mothership is included.
Even though it’s one of the biggest companies in the world, Google still relies heavily on customer reviews, and most of the time, they are pretty short forms, ones you can hammer out in 30 seconds or less.
Naturally, Google will reward you through its own Google Play Store, so be warned Apple users. Nah, just kidding, you can use them as well ☺
11. Roll the dice and see what happens
Nope, this is not just another worn-out catchphrase. We are talking about Verydice. This tremendous app is unlike anything you’ve ever seen.
Seriously, when was the last time you got to play a game with real-life rewards, that’s completely free of charge? All you have to do is download the app on your smart device, and you’ll get a couple of chances to roll the dice.
Depending on your luck, you’ll get rewarded with tickets, which you can later redeem for different gadgets and electronics. It gets better as well.
Every player gets a personal code, and if any new players sign up by using your code, you get more freerolls! It’s truly a gift that keeps on giving.
12. Play with the stock market
The stock market is a serious thing that’s not supposed to be taken lightly. Still, several awesome apps can get you interested in the whole idea.
The investing app you should consider is Acorns.
Acorns give you $10 when you sign up and invest $10. It is an app that helps you invest your spare change. Acorns just add all our purchases to the next dollar.
If you spend $15.30 on something it transfers $0.70. Using Acorns you are able to “invest” without thinking about it. It is a forced savings plan, which is wonderful. A foolproof way to save in my opinion!

13. Freelancing on Fiverr
I’ve made $200 in 2 weeks on a very limited schedule with very sporadic gigs. Once you start building a reputation the gigs come more regularly.
It starts slow and cheap but it’s pocket money, and depending on how much time you have you could turn a pretty good profit.
Once again, in December 2023 I worked on Fiverr for a week and made $50.
14. Earn free gas
While the gas prices are pretty steady at the moment, you never know when the next crisis will come around the corner.
That’s why you can use apps such as GetUpside, and score bonuses which will put you in a great position.
Naturally, you’ll have to pump gas at specific stations, but if you stick to this rule, you’ll be amazed by the number of rewards you’ll be able to collect.
Seriously, in just a month or so, you’ll be looking at $100 bonuses! Unfortunately, there are only a couple of states in which the app is available, so I advise you to check out the coverage on their website before downloading it.
Let’s also mention that there are alternatives to this app, and one of the best is certainly GasBuddy. Their reward system might not be as great as with GetUpside, but it’s still a pretty decent option to have.
Btw, there are some days when gas is cheaper.
15. Sell the items you don’t use
I’ve already written extensively on this topic, but I’ll mention it again here, in case you missed it.
Most people have a ton of useless stuff in their homes, cluttering up all the space. Why not get rid of it, and earn some money in the process?
One of the oldest, and still best platforms is eBay, but I also advise you to check out Amazon and give it a go. Who knows, you might become a master at this, and become a top-rated seller. You never know until you try.
16. Customer service
It turns out that you don’t have to spend half of your day locked in a cubicle with thousands of other employees to work in this field.
Websites like Liveops have revolutionized the game, and now, it’s possible to work from the comfort of your own home, as well as determine your own schedule. In my opinion, it’s a great option for people with small children.
The pay isn’t all too shabby either, as you can earn up to $15-$18 per hour, depending on your field of expertise. Furthermore, when it comes to the requirements of the job, know that Liveops tests all of their freelancers.
Depending on the nature of the job you select, you can, at times, work with nothing more than a laptop and a handset, but at other times, you’ll need to buy several monitors just to get started. It goes without saying that these jobs are the better-paid ones.
17. Virtual Assistant
Ok, this is a common work from home job for stay-at-home moms. Large corporations quickly saw the benefits of hiring remote virtual assistants and jumped at the chance to join the race.
You wouldn’t believe how much money they were able to save by making this simple switch.
Luckily, the advantages go both ways, as virtual assistants now have many possibilities when it comes to remote work, and this bodes especially well for digital nomads around the world.
Take a look at what the market has to offer on websites such as Upwork or FlexJobs. If you’ve never done this line of work before, know that being organized helps out a lot.
Develop your own system of getting things done, and stick to it as much as possible. You’ll be amazed by how much stuff you can get done in a day’s worth.
18. Website tester
Let’s face the truth guys, if you’re spending half of your day inside the house, chances are that you’ll be doing it by browsing the web for hours on end.
Why not get paid for doing so? Sure, you’ll have to look at brand new websites and take notes on stuff you like and dislike about it, but in reality, this is a fairly easy job anyone can do to make money online.
One of these tests usually lasts for about 15 minutes or so, and you’ll get paid $10-$15 for your efforts. It sounds like a tremendous deal if you ask me. Try your luck at UserTesting or Userlytics, and find out if you have the eye for doing this long-term.
19. Become an English language trainer
If you’re a native English speaker, you’re already at an advantage, compared to the rest of the planet.
Nah, I’m just kidding, don’t take this the wrong way. Still, this expression holds true in some cases, especially for language trainers. The great thing about this job is that you don’t have to possess a University Degree in order to do it.
Students and business-minded individuals around the world are more than happy to pay for an opportunity to talk with someone in English, thus sharpening their language skills even further.
Not only that you’ll be able to earn a decent paycheck this way, but you can also meet some new friends, and have fun while doing so. Visit GoFluent or iSpeakUSpeak for further information.
20. Transcription
All you have to do is listen to various audio files, and then write down what you’ve heard. Naturally, you’ll also have to put in time stamps as well. The job itself might not be the most glamorous thing in the world, but it’s not terrible either.
At the end of the day, it gives you an opportunity to earn up to $60 per hour of audiotape, and that’s not all that bad, all things considered.
Rev is great for transcription jobs, you just have to have a quiet environment.
21. Become a freelance writer
While writing does require a certain skill set, it’s not like you need to become Ernest Hemingway in order to get things done.
Start by writing simple blog posts or newspaper-style articles. If you eventually become good at this, you might even make a career out of it, as thousands of success stories around the world can confirm as much.
Don’t fall into the trap and overprice your work right from the get-go. Start slow, and raise your prices as you progress. Websites such as Upwork, Fiverr, or even Reddit can provide more than enough work for beginners but don’t expect too much.
Writing is still one of the worst side hustles out there.
